La Cima is pleased to announce that it is continuing its sponsorship of the annual Texas State University Physical Therapy Pura Vida 5K and Wellness Event.
This year’s event, the 4th annual, will take place on Saturday, Feb. 29 beginning at 9 a.m.
Walkers and dogs are welcome!
Can’t make it but want to support PT students? This event supports the Texas State Department of physical therapy’s interprofessional, service learning study abroad program in Atenas, Costa Rica. Students live with host families and learn/practice Medical Spanish in nursing homes and outpatient clinics, so they are better prepared to serve our patients who speak Spanish here in the US.
If you are unable to participate in the race, but would like to support the program, you can sponsor a student to run the race, buy a t-shirt, or make a donation.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Suzy Okere at sd11@txstate.edu.
